Hello!
My name is Sian, I am a freelance children's illustrator and designer. I studied my (BA) hons Illustration at Falmouth University, where I graduate in 2022 with a "Second Class Honours (Upper Division) (2:1) Degree" I have also completed my MA Illustration authorial practice at Falmouth University in 2024.
During my time at university I have done negotiated projects where I focused upon creating children’s book illustrations, front covers, and editorial work, both for existing texts and also my own creations.
I have severe dyslexia, dyspraxia and auditory processing disorder. I am a great believer in not being held back because of this and I believe they have given me a unique way of thinking which benefits what I do as I am a great visual thinker.
I have a passion for art and design and I am keen to inspire and share this with others. I actually began my career doing zentangle which is essentially doodling for relaxation. When not working, I enjoy music and travel. I am so happy exploring rather than staying at home.
Mainly with my work I mostly do young audiences but I love taking risk and exploring new and different aspects of illustration. Although I am a children's book illustrator, I am happy to branch out into other avenues.
I am also a certified professional visual designer with Adobe Illustrator and photoshop.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch. I will be more than happy to help:)
